Midtown Pho Information

Tucked into a busy stretch of Raleigh, Midtown Pho at Midtown Pho feels like one of those reliable neighborhood spots you end up returning to more often than you expect. The location is easy to find, with plenty of nearby shops and parking, and stepping inside, the atmosphere is refreshingly simple-clean lines, warm lighting, and the subtle aroma of simmering broth that immediately sets the tone for what’s to come.

The menu leans heavily into Vietnamese comfort food, with pho clearly taking center stage. After trying the classic beef pho, it’s easy to see why it’s such a draw. The broth has that slow-cooked depth you’d expect from hours of careful preparation-rich but not greasy, with layers of flavor that feel balanced rather than overwhelming. The noodles are tender, the portions generous, and the fresh herbs served on the side add a bright, customizable finish. It’s the kind of bowl that warms you up and keeps you going back for another spoonful without even thinking about it.

Beyond pho, there’s a solid range of dishes that round out the experience. The banh mi sandwiches are crisp and satisfying, with a good contrast between the crunchy bread and savory fillings, while the spring rolls feel fresh and thoughtfully assembled. The menu isn’t overly complicated, which actually works in its favor-it sticks to what it does well and delivers consistently.

Service here tends to be quick and friendly, even during busier lunch hours. Staff members are approachable and seem genuinely familiar with the menu, which helps if you’re trying Vietnamese cuisine for the first time or just looking to try something new. From personal experience, orders arrive promptly without feeling rushed, striking a nice balance between efficiency and a relaxed dining pace.

What stands out most, especially after reading through various customer reviews and experiencing it firsthand, is the consistency. Whether it’s your first visit or your fifth, the flavors and portions hold steady, which is something not every casual dining spot manages to achieve. While it may not have the flashiest interior or the trendiest presentation, Midtown Pho delivers where it matters most-good food, dependable service, and a welcoming environment that fits right into the Raleigh dining scene.

What People's Say About Place

Very Tasty Perfect for cold weather to enjoy some delicious Pho or some other tasty dish from Midtown Pho. We picked up some dishes with the family to enjoy at home!

The food is really good here and the portion sizes are large especially the rice based dishes. The pho is really good too.

Rice in the rice dish was cold and stiff though overall was good. Several in our group noted the ramen broth as good. Seating is limited for this popular place. Parking is limited.

This was my first time trying Pho and also a Vietnamese restaurant! The food was hot and fresh! I was able to get a substitution to one part of my meal do to an allergy which I appreciated. The vegetables were crisp and delicious! I finished with the matcha creme brulee. The dessert tasted very good but was soft like yogurt which was a tad off putting for a brulee... like it didnt set. Overall I would return to this restaurant and had a great experience! Can't wait to try again!!

I have been enjoying this amazing food since they opened. They have the best pho in Raleigh. Their spicy beef noodle soup is also when I’m not feeling a soup I will have their lemongrass chicken. There is something about the food here, must be cooked with love. Everyone here is so nice. This is definitely my go to restaurant sometimes even twice a week.

Midtown Pho and Pho Far East are the best pho spots in the triangle. As someone who grew up eating Pho, you know this place is the real deal when you can enjoy the broth as is without adding additional sauces. So much flavor and depth. My favorite comfort restaurant.

Midtown Pho in Raleigh is hands down one of my go-to spots when I need my Vietnamese food fix. Sure, their pho is delicious—warm, comforting, and hits all the right notes—but the real MVP here? The vermicelli. It’s so good, I’d put it on a pedestal if it didn’t disappear from my bowl so fast. Seriously, you’ll find yourself thinking, "Pho who?" once you get a taste of that perfect noodle dish. The best part? Midtown Pho isn’t just about the classics. Their menu is like a greatest hits album of Vietnamese cuisine, with more options than you’ll know what to do with. Whether you're in the mood for something light, spicy, or just plain delicious, they’ve got you covered. It’s one of those places where you can't go wrong no matter what you order, but trust me—get the vermicelli. Plus, the atmosphere is casual and laid-back, making it the perfect spot for a chill night out or a quick lunch when you're craving something satisfying. Midtown Pho is a Raleigh gem, and if you haven’t been, your taste buds are seriously missing out.

BEST pho in the Triangle! I’ve tried 6-7 other places, and this is by far the best. Good pho, to me, means chewy yet soft noodles, a deep, flavorful broth, a generous amount of beef, and something that’s comfortable on your stomach. I always get beef and brisket - so good!
